Interested in volunteering in the Lansing area this Thanksgiving?Lots of people want to volunteer on this day and opportunities to serve Thanksgiving dinner in soup kitchens fill up very fast. The Capital Area United Way Volunteer Center has teamed up with five area nursing homes that are interested in having volunteers come and visit their residents. Two of the homes will use volunteers to serve the residents food. Many seniors have no one to visit them on holidays and having someone show that they care makes a big difference!
