Marquette Mountain Opens, Adds Tons of New Terrain The Mining Journal reports that Marquette Mountain opened for the season Saturday, and hill officials have some new amenities and features in store for skiers and snowboarders. The ski hill added more than 67 acres of skiable terrain on the east side of the mountain, creating a new "back country" zone for advanced skiers and boarders.
