ROBO - Recycled and Kinetic Art, Jan 22nd-Feb17th; East Jordan

An exciting exhibit call ìROBO, THE RECYCLED AND KINETIC ART EXHIBIT opens January 22 at the Jordan River Art Center. The exhibit will consist of works of art created from recycled materials or items that have been used before. Participating are students K through 12 from the area schools and several invited artists whose work is made from recycled materials. Schools participating are Beaver Island, Boyne City, Boyne Falls, Charlevoix, Concord Academy Boyne, East Jordan, Ellsworth, and Mancelona.

The concept of recycling and robotics are forever present in todayís culture. The exhibit and itís educational program should help the community understand the value of recycling. Objects that are useful and or decorative, do not have to be of new materials.
