Michigan Prep Girls Season Likely to ChangeThe Detroit Free Press reports that Federal courts have ruled that Michigan's prep athletics seasons discriminate against girls in some sports. Michigan is the only state to play girls volleyball in the winter, and one of two to play girls basketball outside of winter. The Michigan High School Athletic Association argues the current schedule is not discriminatory and say altering the seasons could lead to fewer girls playing sports and could also pose scheduling problems for schools.More on Changing Michigan's Prep Sports Seasons in the Freep click to
