Granholm Fights to Keep Single Business Tax As Michigan continues to face economic hardship with the continued loss of manufacturing jobs the Republican controlled state Senate continues it's move to eliminate the Single Business Tax. Governor Granholm is quoted as saying that the resulting loss of revenue would "lead to higher taxes on Michigan families or deep cuts in critical health care, education or public safety services."
