Ella Sharp Art & Wine Festival, June 3; JacksonJoin the Ella Sharp Museum and the Southeast Michigan Pioneer Wine Trail for a day of wine and art on the picturesque grounds of the Ella Sharp Museum inside Ella Sharp Park. This year's event features wine tasting by the members of the SE Pioneer Wine Trail (Cherry Creek Cellars, Parma and Somerset Center; Lone Oak Vineyard Estates, Grass Lake; Pentamere Winery, Tecumseh; Sandhill Crane Vineyards, Jackson; St. Julian Winery, Parma and Dundee; and Uncle John's Fruit House Winery, St. John's.In addition to the wine tasting, the 2006 Ella Sharp Art & Wine Festival features a juried art fair, live music in the afternoon and early evening by The Blisters, seminars on wines and winemaking, food by Ella's Granary restaurant, and wine sales by the bottle or case. Admission to the festival is $15 per person, or $12 in advance. This includes two free wine tastings from each of the six participating wineries and a commemorative winetasting glass. click to
