Going Wireless in Michigan

Michigan Radio's Jack Lessenberry talks with with Charles Steinfeld, a professor of telecommunications at Michigan State who has written widely on e-commerce and related issues about the issues surrounding community wireless networks. Oakland County is about to launch an ambitious plan to make the state's second-biggest county completely open to wireless Internet access, something that they hope to complete by the end of 2007. Genessee County and many cities including Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor are proposing similar efforts.
