MVU to Offer Free Online Course Michigan Virtual University (in partnership with education software provider Blackboard Inc.) will provide a course titled "Career Development in a Global Economy." The course will be offered for free online to all of Michigan's ninth-graders (150,000). MVU President Jamey Fitzpatrick said "This is the first time that anybody in the country has ever tried to make a single course available to all high school kids at no cost."
