New Book Looks at Ancient UP Copper MysteryThe Mining Journal has a fascinating feature on Fred Rydholm's new book "Michigan Copper - The Untold Story". Rydholm learned as a boy that Isle Royale and the Keweenaw Peninsula harbor thousands of prehistoric copper pits, but that no one really knew where the 10 to 50 million pounds of pit-mined copper went.
