Economy Going Wrong, but Michiganders Remain HappyA pair of Detroit News/WXYZ-TV polls of 600 likely Michigan voters finds that while Michiganians are very concerned about the state's economy (79% say jobs and the economy are the most serious issue confronting Michigan), 89% of those in the survey who rated their lives "good" or "excellent." Pollster Ed Sarpolus explained"Michigan has significantly lower unemployment than in the early '90s. They may be stressed about their kids not finding work, or their spouse not finding work, but they have weathered the storm for the last five years, and they're still working.
