Case Could Have Big Impact on Auto IndustryThe Detroit News reports that US automakers have a huge stake in a case that the Supreme Court will hear to decide whether the Bush administration must regulate carbon dioxide from cars to fight global warming. The auto companies and oil companies debate this. It's like the tobacco companies arguing that cigarettes don't cause cancer."Russ Harding, the senior environmental policy analyst at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, a nonpartisan research institute, said the court should let the market solve conservation problems through consumer choice.
