Michigan is well known for its abundance of lakes and rivers. What better way to take advantage of these then to spend some time fishing? Michigan is home to some extrodinary fishing. Michigan's Au Sable River is known to be one of the finest trout fisheries in the nation and Lake Erie is know as the Meca of smallmouth bass fishing. Before heading out fishing, check out the Michigan Department of Natural Resources' weekly fishing report, and while you are at it you might want to check out the forcast. And, last but not least, you are definitly going to want to get a fishing license, if you don't already have one get one online by visiting the DNR's e-license page.
