West Michigan Primary May Be Decided by Social IssuesThe Detroit News reports that Michigan's hardest-fought congressional primary could hinge not on the war or the economy but on social issues such as abortion and same-sex marriage. First-term U.S. Rep. John "Joe" Schwarz of Battle Creek faces a well-funded challenge from Timothy Walberg, a former state lawmaker and Christian preacher.
