Via Michigan Radio we found Publius, a super-cool site that allows you enter your first and last name and see the candidates on your ballot. While some proposals are missing, it's still quite a resource and also our first Michigan Site of the Week!!

The Detroit Free Press says that according to Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land, only 19% of Michigan registered voters (1.35 million) will show up at the polls. (one voter who won't vote says "I'm usually a fairly regular voter, but I'm thoroughly disgusted with the political system right now" - Isn't that like saying "I'm tired of the rain pouring through the roof so I won't fix it"??
