Michigan Universities Transform Michigan's Tech Industry Detroit Free Press tech writer Mike Wendland reports that technology transfers from the University of Michigan last year resulted in 13 new businesses & 285 inventions in medicine, engineering, chemistry, biophysics, education and transportation systems. Royalties and ownership holdings netted the university almost $12 million. MSU brought in $20 million.
