US Fish & Wildlife Service to Seek Lake Sturgeon in Saginaw RiversThe Bay City Times reports that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plans to begin a three-year project next month to see if lake sturgeon, a species native to the area, are swimming in from Saginaw Bay and up the Saginaw River to drop eggs in the Tittabawassee and Cass rivers. Sturgeon can grow to be 9 feet long, weigh up to 300 pounds and live to be 150 years old.click to
