Mason Tract Drilling Appeals FiledThe Traverse City Record-Eagle reports that Tim Mason, grandson of George Mason, an automotive executive and legendary local outdoorsman, submitted a last-minute appeal (that the service lost for a time) to the U.S. Forest Service's decision to allow drilling near the Mason Tract.
