Diann lives in a small town on Michigan's "gold coast" and says that it is a gorgeous place to live. A look through her photos will probably find you in agreement.
In addition to her own pictures, she also posts a fair number of historical photos that can be found among her sets. One set quotes an unknown sage as saying A family tree can wither if nobody tends its roots.
It strikes me that one could say the same thing about a community ... or a state.

Absolute Michigan is an incredible website and it is great to see my photograph here. This one was taken at Magoon Creek, which is in Manistee County. I am very pleased to be part of the community of Michiganders who are tending our beautiful state's "roots".
