Photo Friday: Holloway Reservoir Dam-Genesee County, MI by Terry Doyle

Terry doesn't have a whole ton of photos online yet, but he offers some neat views of the Flint area from Stepping Stone Falls to scenes from around Genessee to everyday life.

Photo Friday: Untitled by Brooke Pennington

Brooke is a Grand Rapids photographer who has a lot of great photos that present a unique perspective on things like winter and fall and saturation and lack thereof.
One of the things that I admire most about his photography is an ability to capture people's moods in wonderfully candid portraits.

Photo Friday: wave wash by ER Post

This photo of waves crashing over the Grand Haven light is one of many great photos of Michigan Lighthouses from Ed Post.
Ed just joined Flickr and the Absolute Michigan group, but he already uploaded a whole lot more cool photos from Michigan and elsewhere including some beautiful pictures of wild Michigan Orchids. You can see [...]

Photo Friday: Fayette Cliff by whitewaves

I first encountered the photography of Paul Rose when we were putting together our Destination Michigan feature on the Fayette Historic State Park. While the ghost town of Fayette remains one of the places in Michigan that I most long to visit, I feel almost as if I can with Paul's amazing photos of the [...]

Photo Friday: Soft Reflections by David :0)

Dave seems to like to get out and walk, even on frosty mornings like yesterday.
This photo is part of his Nature set (slideshow) which includes some really cool photos of birds. You'll also want to check out his Michigan set that has photos of everything from water monsters to Midland's Santa House bell.

Photo Friday: Rochester Elevator by St. Laurent Photography

Earlier this week, Alanna St. Laurent added the 24,000th photo to the Absolute Michigan group. Though her photo of the Borealis sculpture at the Ren Cen is cool, I thought this one would be a better introduction.
Alanna has a lot more photos of Rochester, Michigan and shots from other locations including Cranbrook, Belle Isle and [...]

This photo is titled Lioness and it was taken by Ralph Krawczyk Jr. at the James Scott Memorial Fountain on Belle Isle in Detroit. If you follow Michigan in Pictures, you've seen a lot of Ralph. If you don't click here to see what you've been missing!
Ralph says that he's a graphic designer, a [...]

Photo Friday: safe passage by Where's Walden?

This is a photo from the Boyne City marina on Lake Charlevoix. Megan writes that she climbed over a 'danger: thin ice sign' to take these, but there's no ice yet. It's just one of the photos in her michigan meanderings set (slideshow).
She writes that until very recently she was a good southern girl [...]
