Our second fall color feature (in conjunction with Michigan in Pictures) is the Keweenaw Peninsula, way up north and surrounded by the icy waters of Lake Superior, is one of the first places in Michigan to be touched by autumn's paintbrush.

This photo of the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse was taken by smiles7 on a windy day in August. It looks like she had a fun day kayaking and generally basking in the beauty of Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula.
She lives in Charlevoix and seems to enjoy Michigan in every season, so keep an eye on her photos.
A couple of weeks ago I did the Photo Friday on a Thursday, which I suppose is better than almost forgetting about it altogether!
