Love this idea! I will refer friends and family to the Michigan Holiday Gift Guide. I do wish there were more artists/entrepreneurs represented from the U.P. though.

Don't forget Michigan's cultural institutions and stores. Gifts purchased at museum stores give twice. In addition to a unique and thoughtful gift, you are also supporting the institution. Some of my favorites are Detroit Institute of Art, the Michigan Historical Museum, UM Art Museum, MSU Museum and more!!

I definitely recommend Lee's Adventure Sports (in my hometown!) and Leelanau Coffee Roasting Company - their coffee is sold at Hiller's for those of you in Metro Detroit. Also, the lights in downtown Rochester (shown in the photo above) are an awesome sight. Go check them out!
