A new exhibit at the Detroit Institute of Arts features the work of world renowned photographer Annie Leibowitz. Best known for her work at Rolling Stone magazine and taking some of the most memorable portraits of cultural icons, she went on to work for Vanity Fair magazine where her work can regularly be seen today. Titled "Annie Leibovitz: American Music", the exhibit will feature as its main feature portraits of musicians many of which hail from Detroit. The event opens on September 24 and runs through January 7, 2007. Don't miss "Macy's American Music Fridays" which runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and features live performances from a variety of musical genres.
