I spent all my Michigan blogging time today on The Argus Camera Company of Ann Arbor, Michigan over at Michigan in Pictures. Since it is a pretty significant piece of Michigan history, it probably deserves your attention.

I have an older Argus Camera that indicates the patent was being replied for (Des.Pat. 110,516). It also says, Part 14226. It also has a number inside the camera, 89844. Alhough I believe it is at least 60 years old, it appears to be in excellent condition. What can you tell me about this camera? Thank you, Dr. Scott Norton

I worked at Argus in Ann Arbor eight years 1954-1962 in HR (I resigned). It was the best company I have ever worked at in my work history. They made a terrific product. I once owned a C3 and C-44 which was lost on Western Airlines (no longer in business). I'm looking for any employees that are still alive. I do know a few but now sure if they are on the web.
I have some photos of company offical and became an avid ametur photographer after my employment there and traveled the the world. Loads of slides no one will want when I die and will probably just go into the dumpster here in CA.
