Although Michigan's prison spending is hot topic these days, this post refers to the Arresting Site or Blog of the Month. Founder and publisher Tim Pulice is calling for nominations and will reveal the inaugural award winner on Monday, May 5, 2008. After that, a new award winner will be announced on the first Monday of each month.
Intended to help these online destinations generate publicity and increase traffic, the award will be given to Web sites and blogs that, like The Pulice Report, have a Michigan theme or connection. Other criteria include content, layout, timeliness, and wit.
"Michigan has such a wealth of original talent, from artists and Web designers to writers and musicians, that I felt it was time to further showcase their abilities," said Tim Pulice, founder and publisher of The Pulice Report. "When I speak with colleagues around the country, I make it a point to extol the creative vision of my fellow Michiganders, and what a valuable resource it is for my home state. There is remarkable work happening in both our peninsulas, and the people behind it deserve greater attention."
