Beaners in East Lansing

The LSJ reports that The East Lansing-based Beaner's Gourmet Coffee set a sales record in 2006, posting a remarkable 53% jump in earnings.

The company said it ended 2006 with 63 open units and 75 signed to be opened. It also was ranked 289 out of the top 500 franchise concepts in the United States by Entrepreneur magazine.
