Kids, ask your parents before you go here - it can be kind of spooky!
It's probably a good thing that there's only one Dr. Fong's House of Mysteries, and even better that it's located right here in Michigan, if only to protect us from the likes of the Michigan Dogman.
Legend in Michigan tells of this bizarre wolf-like creature that is said to appear in Northern Michigan on July 7th of the 7th year of each decade. It has been a frightening part of local folklore for years.
I know a man whose life was forever changed by his encounter with this mysterious creature. He was out for a walk in the woods near Frankfort, Michigan when he encountered a huge dog. He ran in terror when it reared up on its hind legs and he saw its "evil eyes and the hint of a grin."
Dr. Fong even dug up a web site for the Michigan Dogman and this cool intro to the Dogman DVD (proceeds benefit animal rescue groups!). Whether he's solving the mystery of disappearing bees or giant stone heads, you can count on Dr. Fong and his staff to serve up several times the US government's Recommended Daily Allowance of weird!
The truth is out there ... or maybe over there.

i just learned about the dogman from youtube and other sights. it reminds me kind of the old stories of werewolves, which made me wonder how did the dogman come to be? are there any myths, stories, legends etc. that might mention it?
