Greetings from the Mitten State! I know, we're an exotic, insular place that looks like an Arby's logo and it might be different to imagine what life is like here.

But suddenly you care because Ford, GM and Chrysler want to get in on some of that hot bailout action. That means that we are INTERESTING. Awesome.

Here's the thing, though. When you talk about the automakers and our state, well, we have no idea what you're talking about. It seems as though you last got your information from 1987's "Robocop," which wasn't even filmed in Detroit, by the way, or "Roger and Me" and have decided we're all clones of Michael Moore in all his gelatinous glory.

On show after show, we've watched you unload misinformation as fact, so we thought we'd help you out. We'd like to thank our friend, Google, for the .22 seconds it took to discover a few quick facts about our little situation here in Michigan. Or as we like to call it, waitin' for the second Great Depression while everyone bitches about the Big Three's jet gaffe again (We get it. They're greedy pigs. Now could you please have some mercy on our very lovely state and the nine others that will implode otherwise?)
