UPDATE: Today's Detroit News has a report on the second town hall meeting in Southfield in which the Governor asked "What would you do if you were me?" She got some answers including:
A couple of cents makes a lot of sense.
A couple of cents is a small price to pay to keep Michigan solvent. Tax cuts have not solved our problems.
It is time to make a very small contribution for the much larger Public Good!

3. There are no colleges or universities north of Big Rapids teaching the kids hard sciences like chemistry and physics? Your administer for this issue assures me that "it has always been like this, and will not change."
Tell that to Northern Michigan University, Michigan Tech Univeristy, and community colleges like Northwestern Michigan College, all of which teach these courses.
