FOXSports.com and WDFN-AM (1130) are reporting that the Lions have removed team president and CEO Matt Millen from his post, ending one of the most criticized tenures in Detroit - or for that matter, NFL history.
As we look back on such landmark events as the Millen Man March and spontaneous movements like "Fire Millen!" we can't help but shed a tear ... though that's mainly for everyone who has suffered their way through the team's bottom-of-the-NFL record of 31-84 since Millen took over in 2001.
I know that Lions fans can't take too much jubilation. If you're feeling overly giddy, you could read Fire Millen Finally Becomes Reality; But Now What, Lions Fans? from Deadspin.
