Homeless Dave, Teeter Talk, Krappy Kameras and Matt Callow

Voigtlander Pinhole: Lefurge by Matt Callow

Yesterday on Michigan in Pictures we blogged a photo from Ross Orr and tried to talk up the upcoming Cheap Shots: The Silver Dreams of Plastic Cameras, a toy camera exhibition and extravaganza sponsored by the Ann Arbor Area Krappy Kamera Klub.

One of the driving forces behind this event and area's vibrant toy & pinhole camera culture is longtime Absolute Michigan supporter Matt Callow. We'll let Matt tell it here:

Ann Arbor/Ypsi people might've heard of Homeless Dave, who invites local movers-and-shakers, dignitaries and interesting people to come ride on his teeter-totter (see-saw) and then interviews them for his Teeter Talk site.

To buck the trend, he invited *me* to totter and chat on a cold, snowy day a couple of weeks ago. Then somehow he managed to transcribe my ramblings into something resembling a coherent conversation about nursery rhymes, fly-fishing apparel and, yeah, photography.

This is a great site, and you are heartily encouraged to totter on over to read Homeless Dave's Teeter Talk: Matt Callow. If you need more of Matt talking photography (and Matt's Photography), Michigan in Pictures has a three-part profile of Matt Callow.
