		<description>I think it is a definite need for BOTH parties to be better stewards of the environment. The &lt;a href="http://www.absolutemichigan.com/dig/michigan/new-book-great-lakes-water-wars-by-peter-annin/" rel="nofollow"&gt;Peter Annin book The Great Lakes Water Wars&lt;/a&gt; we profiled a while ago had some truly frightening implications for the Great Lakes. When you see corporations like GE, Ford, BP and others &lt;a href="http://www.ethicalcorp.com/climateforum2007/" rel="nofollow"&gt;holding meetings on climate change&lt;/a&gt;, you start to see that maybe this isn't a Republican vs. Democrat issue.</description>

		<description>I really hope she gets stronger on environmental issues.  One of the things we (as Dems) need to be better about is holding our elected officials accountable once we've elected them.
