Dave Dempsey tipped us off to this interview with Michigan Congressman John Dingell in Grist Magazine. Dingell is the Ranking Member of the influential Committee on Energy and Commerce. Although he played a key role in pushing through many environmental laws, including the Wilderness Act, the Endangered Species Act and the Clean Air Act, he has also been called "Tail Pipe Johnny" for his staunch support of the auto industry.
The interview sheds some interesting light on how Dingell might impact climate change and other environmental action in the 110th Congress and is well worth a read for a harder-hitting than normal look at what the man who will have a huge role in shaping our nation's environmental policy is thinking.
