Every year the Library of Michigan selects their Michigan Notable Books, 20 books published over the last year that highlight Michigan people, places and events.
The 2008 group features conversations with President Gerald Ford, tales of Michigan in the Civil War, World War II and Vietnam War, poetry lauding Michigan's natural wonders, novels set in the Great Lakes State, celebrations of Michigan food and wine and tributes to Michigan's art, architecture and music.
This month, we will feature each of the 2008 Michigan Notable books on Absolute Michigan - check keyword Michigan Books to see them You can also see selections from years past and learn more about this great program at www.michigan.gov/notablebooks.
