MHSAA State Football Championships

Kickoff by Steve Philp

The 2006 Michigan High School Athletic Association Football Finals take place this week at Ford Field in Detroit. You can get details on the matchups, rosters and game times from the Michigan High School Athletic Association's 2006 Football Finals page. Tickets will apparently be on sale at Ford Field on the day of the game (they were selling them at the box office earlier but I find no link now).
Michiguide.com reports that FSN Detroit will broadcast the finals live this Friday & Saturday (Nov 24 & 25, 2006). Six of the eight championship games are scheduled to be televised live. The other two games (Division 4 on Friday and Division 3 on Saturday) will be streamed live at www.FoxSports.com/Detroit, plus televised on a same-day delay basis on FSN Detroit.

If you want to really, really geek out on high school football, check out Michigan-Football.com for results from 2006 all the way back to 1950!

You recently televised the high school football championship game between Muskegon High School Big Reds and ?(can't remember their name). Is there a way to purchase a tape or CD of that game? I tried to record it but according to the guide it ended at 3:30 so I missed the last half hour of the game. Please let me know.

Hey Nadja. MHSAA usually sells DVDs of state championship games for all sports. There is a link on the 2006 football finals page to buy DVDs, photos and clothing.

You could check with the Advanced Video Service, the company that makes the DVDs. I don't know that they go that far back.

Im looking for mhsaa football programs for the years 1975-1992. Im a collecter and I can't find these items anywhere. A photo copy of each finals team for that time would work to. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. email is welkat.tw@hotmail.com
