The Red Flannel Festival - Cedar Springs
This will is our 68th Annual Celebration of Red Flannel Day since 1939. Our festival is held each year on the First Saturday of October. Located just north of Grand Rapids, Michigan...Cedar Springs is a city with small-town charm and home-grown characteristics.
October 11 - 14
Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival - Alpena
Now in it's 12th year, the four day event provides activities for the young and old including lighthouse tours (aerial, boat or personal vehicle), entertainment, and vendors. The festival boasts over 100 maritime related vendors including lighthouse preservation groups, artists, authors and more.

The Michigan Story Festival - Mt. Pleasant
The two-day Michigan Story Festival offers a complete showcase of the power of storytelling in all its art forms. Michigan Story Festival is one of the only storytelling festivals to integrate the stories of many cultures and traditions. With the exception of the opening and closing performances, there is no charge to experience the magic of Michigan Story Festival events and presentations.

C. S. Lewis Festival - Petoskey
The Northern Michigan C. S. Lewis Festival welcomes you to our annual month-long celebration. Events take place from late October to mid-November in the Petoskey area on Little Traverse Bay, including music & theater performances, school & library programs, scholarly lectures, community discussion groups, and more.

Colorfall - Grand Rapids

Feel the whoosh as the headless horseman rides by, banter with a clever witch, and make stops at several treat stations spread throughout Greenfield Village.

Food, Wine and All That Jazz - Grand Rapids
West Michigan’s premier wine tasting event at The Public Museum in Grand Rapids. Mark your calendars now for the first annual Allegan Paranormal Conference to be held at the historic Griswold Auditorium in Allegan, Michigan on October 26th and 27th. Events begin Friday night with a gallery reading by Michigan author and renowned psychic, Kelly MacLeod. Later that night, join us for a lantern ghost tour through the streets of downtown Allegan where your guide will share the town’s many ghostly legends. You can sign up to participate in a paranormal investigation to be held at the Old Jail Museum which housed Allegan’s sheriffs and their families as well as its convicts for many years. Some say many remain – in spirit. Speakers and classes will cover a wide variety of paranormal topics throughout the day on Saturday. A cocktail reception and dinner will be held at the haunted Elks Lodge that evening. Come join the fun!
