Michigan Solar Tour

Michigan Solar House by DC Rob

From the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association:

The 2006 American Solar Energy Society's National Solar Tour offers a first-hand look at the successful uses of renewable energy and energy efficiency in buildings, both private and public, across the state.

Tour participants in communities nationwide will visit buildings incorporating solar applications such as solar hot water heating, passive solar design, and solar photovoltaic electricity. Much more than solar energy will be on display, however. Buildings which make use of other forms of alternative energy such as wind or geothermal heating and cooling will also be included. Energy efficient and sustainable building practices will also be featured on the tour.

The Michigan Solar Tour, part of the ASES National Solar Tour, will take place Saturday, October 7th at various sites throughout Michigan. Visit as many sites as you would like from 10am to 4pm, in any order that you would like. Enjoy the good energy, and have fun!
