Rodriguez, Michigan players say they haven't quit

Michigan appears headed for a dubious milestone, but its players and coaches aren't throwing in the towel. Coach Rich Rodriguez and several players said Monday that their heads are high as the 2-4 Wolverines head into a make-or-break final stretch of games. Saturday's 35-21 loss to rival Michigan State put Michigan's back against the wall. The Wolverines must win their remaining four games — three are on the road — to give themselves a shot at the school's 34th consecutive bowl game.

Michigan State's Hoyer wins weekly Big Ten honor

Michigan State quarterback Brian Hoyer has earned honors from the Big Ten for his role in leading the Spartans to victory at Michigan. Hoyer on Monday was named the Big Ten's offensive player of the week. He completed 17 of 29 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns in Michigan State's 35-21 win.

No matter how good State does they always lose to U of M. State hasn't won in the Big House in 18 years and that plays an important role. It's not even a rivalry game cause the Wolverines always win. Plus U of M leads the series 33-19, so it's one sided.
