(check it out bigger)!

Welcome to the Week on Absolute Michigan, the place where we (and you!) talk about the news & happenings of the week.

Now (happily) that Delegate-Gate is winding down and (sadly) that the Pistons have lost for the third straight year in the Eastern Conference Finals, lots of eyes in Michigan are focused the Detroit Red Wings and the Stanley Cup. Tonight could be the night!

In our Absolute Michigan photo group on Flickr we're seeing pictures of big and bold dandelions, bright flowers, speeding planes and people starting to "dip the piggies" into that Michigan water!!

Our Michigan June Event Calendar says that this weekend is absolutely stuffed full of events including The Mackinac Island Lilac Festival, Charlevoix Renaissance Festival, Leelanau Vintners Premium Pour,
the Upper Peninsula Championship Rodeo in Iron River, the Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts, Greek Festival in Kalamazoo and Potterville's Gizzard Fest.
