"Ignite 09 - Uniting Voices for Arts and Culture in Michigan" will be held on Nov. 10 by ArtServe Michigan. ArtServ is a statewide non-profit advocacy organization for the arts. This year's theme is increasing collective support for arts programs.
The program will be held at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit from 6 pm to 9 pm. Tickets are $50. You register at artservemichigan.org and get more information on Artserve's twitter or facebook.

ST. CLAIR, MI – The St. Clair Art Association will host a Holiday “Glitz ‘n Glam” Fashion Show and Luncheon on opening day of deer hunting season, November 15, 2008, at the St. Clair River Country Club, St. Clair, Michigan.

The Committee promises this event to have a great atmosphere with a new twist to the fashion shows of the past. Doors open at 10:30 am for a signature cocktail while enjoying the piano music by Betty Winslow. The luncheon begins at noon followed by the latest fashion trends from Hayes St. Clair, Hers, Suzanne’s and Jamey’s Bridal, along with stunning jewelry from American Diamond Importers.

“This is a great opportunity to do early holiday shopping as art and silent auction items will be available,” said Andrea Brieden, Event Chair and Board Member of the St. Clair Art Association. “Guests will be entertained by the all new runway style fashion show, upbeat music and a few special surprises along the way!”

The 25 Annual Arts and Crafts Show, Annual fundraiser for Chesaning Music Boosters, will be held on 11/28 and 11/29/08, at Chesaning Middle and High Schools. Vendors fill both schools with free transportation between schools. Hours are Fri. 10am-5pm, Sat. 10am-4pm. Refreshments are available.
