you get shown the light
in the strangest of places
if you look at it right

I wish Michigan factories would go into the small appliance business. I am so tired of buying toasters made in China that don't last. It seems like when I grew up we had the same toaster forever. The toasters these days are not repairable; use electricity even when they are not in use, unless you unplug them; don't toast both sides of the bread equally--my complaints could go on even further. What frosts me the most is that all these modern day appliances that don't last long are using natural resources in their production, using fossil fuels being transported to us, and are filling our landfills because they are not repairable.
I would pay double (maybe even triple) for a well made, repairable small appliance made in the USA. Also included in this would be lamps, all small appliances, power tools, etc.
