On Monday morning I started looking through photos from folks I know in Detroit and started seeing all kinds of pictures from Tiger Stadium. Over this whole week, photos have been popping up from a lucky group of photographers who had the equivalent - if you're a lifelong Tigers fan like me - of a Willy Wonka Golden Ticket dropped on them.
The first photo I saw on Monday was this one, about which Ken writes:
Tiger Stadium. Now closed, but once lively with the roar of the Tigers faithful. For the past 8 years the stadium has stood, awaiting its date with a wrecking ball.
A once in a lifetime opportunity happened for me this day... I was called and informed that a small group of Flickr members were being allowed into Tiger Stadium. 8 years after the ballpark had closed, these pictures are the result of what the park looks like in its current condition. This has by far been the greatest photo opportunity of my life.
You can see many more of Ken's photos from Tiger Stadium and also connect with other photos from the September 28, 2007 outing to Tiger Stadium on Flickr (slideshow).
Ken has lots more photos of subjects including Tiger games, the Woodward Dream Cruise and the 2007 North American International Auto Show.

I see several stories on saving Tiger Stadium, but do you think you can do a story on savetigerstadium.org being officially up and running and taking donations to save the dugout to dugout configuration. Visit savetigerstadium.org for more information from the Old Tiger STadium Conservancy. For those who are reading this comment, please also visit savetigerstadium.org for more information.
