This summer the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn presents Rock Stars' Cars & Guitars (has loudish music, a very cool presentation!). It opens to the public on June 9 and continues through Sept 30, 2007. The exhibit includes legendary cars from rockers along with 30 guitars.

Featured cars & guitars include:

• The 1999 "Kisscat" Plymouth Prowler (pictured above)
• The 1965 Rolls-Royce Phantom V owned by John Lennon and painted in a psychedelic floral motif
• The 1949 Cadillac custom "Cadzzilla" personally designed by Billy F Gibbons of ZZ Top, one of the most recognized hot rods in the rock world
• The 1971 De Tomaso Pantera formerly owned by Elvis Presley famous for its bullet hole shot by the King himself
• The 1932 Ford coupe, "Silver Sapphire," that appeared on the cover of The Beach Boys' album "Little Deuce Coupe"
• The 1932 Ford Hi-Boy Phaeton hot rod used by Van Halen and featured in the music video "Hot for Teacher"
• The black 1987 ESP custom guitar, nicknamed "Skully," played by Kirk Hammett, lead guitarist in the band Metallica
• The 1973 Gibson ES-355TD guitar played and signed by the legendary Chuck Berry (pictured right)
• The distinctive rectangular-shaped guitar, Gretsch "Big B," designed and owned by Bo Diddley
• The custom-made Gretsch "Billy-Bo" model that combines the characteristic Diddley design with the styles of Billy F Gibbons of ZZ Top
• The memorable custom-made five neck Hamer played by Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick

Henry Ford Museum is located in Dearborn, Michigan, was founded in 1929 by automotive pioneer Henry Ford. It is open seven days a week, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $14 for adults, $13 for seniors and $10 for youth; members and children four and under are free.
