Last week I had the pleasure of attending a presentation by Model D co-publisher Paul Schutt. I think they have a great editorial philosophy and it's exciting to see them starting to produce original videos like the one above on the Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit (MOCAD).

MOCAD's mission is to present art at the forefront of contemporary culture. They are (fittingly) housed in a 22,000 square foot former auto dealership. Their first exhibition (check the link to the right for photos) is titled Meditations in an Emergency, and it is accompanied by music, performance, dance, lectures and educational activities with schools and youth organizations.

The second exhibition is scheduled for February 2007. Titled Shrinking Cities, it will explore the relationship between cities and suburbs and will be a collaboration between MOCAD and the Cranbrook Art Museum.
