M22 was founded in 2002 by a group of Northern Michigan kiteboarders. The guys were scribbling graphics for a sticker when the design for M22 came into being. They say that M22 represents Life Up North, and that anyone who has ever driven down M22 will recognize the beauty and serenity that M22 stands for.
