The Michigan Reader: Michigan books, authors & publishers

Book store. Copper Harbor, Michigan by pntphoto

All January on Absolute Michigan we're going to be talking about Michigan books: authors, writers & illustrators and also publishers of Michigan books and the great bookstores all over the state.

In addition, we'll be featuring all 20 of the 2008 Michigan Notable Books this month - see them at Absolute Michigan keyword Michigan Books!

We know that we won't get everything though, so be sure to tell us about your favorite books, writers, booksellers and anything book related in the comments below!

The photo on the banner we're using for this was taken by Stewart Butterfield. He and his wife Caterina Fake founded the photo sharing web site Flickr, aka The Place Where Most of Absolute Michigan Photos Come From. I thought it was pretty cool that when I went looking for an appropriately licensed photo, the one I picked turned out to be from him.

Two, new "award winning Christmas songs," and children's book looking for a connection in Michigan. "Global Warming Christmas I or (No Snow in Kalamazo) and Global Warming Christmas II (Dear Santa,) professionally recorded in Nashville by Paramount. Request permission to send you a copy of all. These two songs will replace Rudolph and others, because they have a 21st century story. I need to get this started in Michigan. You won't be sorry. My name is Glenn, from Missouri.
