The cuckoo-y tastes of peregrines at bootstrap analysis is one more post that makes me love blogs and bloggers. It begins:

I monotored the S'e Michigan Peregrine falcons (as "grantee" of MDNR) from 1987 until I retired in Sept. '04. From my observations - I put the "Mate-for-life" theory to rest. I observed males, "cheatin' on their mates, and a certain female, Sunrise (rel. Cincinnati, OH '91) made her "digs' at the Whittier Apts.Detroit, MI '94), as the "Floozy" of the Falcon World. She was the "other, woman of the tiercel, Pop, later, "dated" his son, Speedster (who left her to go to the Fisher Bldg. and "settle-down" with his Auntie H (his daddy's sister).
After many flings with other males, Sunrise, finally, in 2000, "settled-in" with Allegro (wild produced - Cleveland, OH '98). He was "sweetie # 17! She was, finally), replaced in '05 by a new female, Miriam (rel. Toronto, On '03).
The "S' MI "Soaps" continued with the Monroe Power Plant, (Monroe, MI) male "flying-around the stacks with other females while his mate, Monrow was sitting on the eggs in the I-beam!
