It was how I first learned of the subject, and thinking of it just now is why I searched for it on Google, and found this site. The subtitle of the article made a different observation about the outome of the war, in contrast to the "The Last Laugh." Not withstanding how Wisconsin fared in the conflict, the DFP subtitle read "Michigan won. Ohio got Toledo." I recall reading a Detroit Free Press Sunday magazine article published in the late sixties about the Toledo War.
