THis celebration has been put together to honor all of those who worked on the Designing, Building, and Construction of the Edmund Fitzgerald as well as former crews and family members. I am a Northern Michigan Artist that will be unveiling two 3 Demensional Carvings (Museum Quality) for this event. The first of the two is entitled "Fare Thee Well" which dipicts the "Fitz" in 1958 as it is passing the Great Lake Engineering Works, where it was built. The second carving is entitled "Farewell" and dipicts the "Fitz" on the final voyage on Novemnber 10th, 1975. THis even will alos play host to many orther artists, authors, ship model builders, movie makers, shipwreck divers etc. All who are donating their time to honor those who were involved with this ship. I can well imagine what it must have been like for those who had family on the Fitz.
