Time for the Great Lakes State to stand tall

Mackinac Bridge by Marjorie O'Brien

I looked around and around for something to post today. Everywhere I looked things were on vacation, offline or crashing my browser. The news has become something that - for the most part - I can't bear to spend time with. There are only so many words you can use to describe the action of trying to make one's ideological opposites look bad while doing nothing at all about our real problems facing Michigan.

Finally, I arrived at Dave Dempsey's blog and this very simple message of heart and hope:

Michigan: Stand Tall

If you have ever crossed the Mackinac Bridge you know the feeling - the grandeur. If you have crossed the Ambassador Bridge from Windsor to Detroit you know the feeling - the grandeur of shared waters. The Great Lakes state must rise above this day's pain, and create the Michigan that will again show the world, the way.
