Michigan Maritime Museum Classic Boat Show - July 9th

Calling All Classic Boats!

SOUTH HAVEN, MICHIGAN ó The Michigan Maritime Museum Classic Boat Show will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2005 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The boat show is one of the oldest and most popular of its kind in the region. Vessels of every size and style, from large auxiliary sloops to dinghies and canoes, will be displayed. Particularly welcome are demonstrations, photo journals or histories associated with entries, and professional boat builders.

Participants may enter as many boats in the Museum's waterfront park as they wish, or display projects-in-progress, outboard motor collections, ship models or other maritime-related exhibits-ñall for only $12. For boats in the water, the registration fee is $25 per boat. Participants must register by July 2 if they wish to be included in the official Classic Boat Show Program.

"As always, the Museum strives to perpetuate the building, restoration, and use of classic boats; and to give participants and the public an entertaining and informative learning experience on the waterfront," states Locker.

The Sea Scouts of Ship #5191 will serve a Fish Boil lunch on the Museum campus. Visitors can also board and sail on the Museum historic replica tall ship, Friends Good Will.
